MEET OUR STAFF

Rev. Ryan Mendenhall

Rev. Ryan Mendenhall

Pastor

Hi!
My name is Ryan Mendenhall.  Various people have given me various titles such as Rev. Ryan, Pastor Ryan, and a few that I cannot tell! But you can call me Ryan because I would love to meet you, get to know you, and have you call me friend.  My calling in ministry is to build loving relationships and guide others to grow in their relationship with God and others just as Jesus commanded his followers in Matthew 22:37-39 “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
In my personal life, I have been blessed abundantly by God’s grace. I was called to go into ministry shortly after marrying my wife, Wendy, in 2007.  We took Joshua 24:15 to heart – “as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” – and we committed to serve God and follow Him wherever He leads us.  God has blessed Wendy and I with three rambunctious boys that keep us on our toes.  God has also blessed us in becoming part of the church family of Chapel Hill UMC in July of 2018.

In 2014-15 I served the Franklin Heights – Maple Grove charge in Mount Airy, NC. From 2015-2017 I served Trinity UMC in Thomasville, and from 2017-2018 I served the First-Trinity charge in Thomasville, NC. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNCG, Bachelor of Theology from John Wesley University, and a Masters of Divinity from Hood Theological Seminary.

At Chapel Hill, we share together a journey of grace – loving each other and being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.   So I invite you to join us in worship, attend a small group, or follow us on the Internet. Join us on the mission to multiply God’s kingdom by intentionally growing in our relationship with God, each other, and our community in Jesus’ name.
